Magic or Miss??? Disney’s Treehouse Villas at Saratoga Springs
Recently we took a last-minute trip to Disney. It was an escape that we desperately needed and was a positive distraction from reality. With a short window of time to find a Disney Resort that would accommodate our party size, we began the search for a 2-3 bedroom villa. And there it was…the Treehouse Villas at Saratoga Springs…available! We snagged a last-minute stay and it was a cool Treehouse to boot! Total Magic!
A Treehouse Villa at Saratoga Springs is a 3 bedroom/ 2 bathroom, cabin style house that sits up in the trees. It has a full kitchen/dining area, living room, washer-dryer and private deck with outdoor table and chairs. It is located in the woods near Disney Springs and Saratoga Springs is just short drive away.
When we arrived, immediately we scored a parking space right next to our Treehouse…Magic! We rented a car for this trip, because the only Disney transportation to the parks is by bus from this resort. After we unloaded the car, we toured our Treehouse, found all the hidden Mickeys and settled in! The Treehouse had a whole vibe, and it felt like MAGIC. It was a little dated, but that wasn’t a miss for us, but I could see where this could be a miss for some people.
Now it was time to head to the parks, we drove to Magic Kingdom, parked in the massive parking lot, walked to the Monorail, went through security and scanned into the park. All of which felt like forever...MISS! I knew we were staying on the outskirts of Disney, but these Treehouses felt like we were completely out of the bubble.
The next evening, we made the lengthy journey back to Magic Kingdom, this time for deluxe extended hours. The Treehouse Villas are part of the deluxe resorts at Walt Disney World. For guests staying in a deluxe resort, they can stay 2 hours past the park closing time on select nights in select parks. That night, we walked onto almost every ride with little to no wait and enjoyed a non-crowded park…it was pure MAGIC!
After our magical deluxe extended hours, we got back to our Treehouse to find that all the parking spaces near our Treehouse were taken! The nearby spaces…taken! We had to park down the road and walk to our Treehouse in the middle of the night. This was a huge MISS!! Apparently, there are no assigned parking spaces, but we felt each Treehouse should get one parking space reserved near it. However, that is not the case, so if you stay here, be prepared you may not be parking close to your Treehouse.
Our overall experience was a mixed bag of both MAGIC and MISS. We did enjoy our stay at the Treehouse Villas at Saratoga Springs and we thoroughly enjoyed our time together! We made wonderful memories and that is beyond magic, that is a blessing!
